A most delightful narrow country road winds its way past old farmhouses and cottages, eventually ending at a clearing, where the dirt drive carries you that last bit to Brook Hill. The funky two-toned shingled siding belies the clean, thoughtful interior of this bijou, one bedroom cottage. Brook Hill is all about rediscovering what it is to be at peace. There is no din of cable TV (no TV at all, in fact), no hum of traffic (you're on 30 acres, which are surrounded by preserved land), and you will marvel at the sheer joy of the pure quiet. At night, with no glare, clear skies mean discovering a whole cosmic world overhead.
You'll enter into an open plan living/kitchen/dining space with cathedral ceilings, although my guess is that if weather permits, you'll choose to take your meals at the table outside near the apple trees. The pretty bedroom, also with high ceilings, connects to a small bathroom with shower.
The outdoor area near the house includes a bonfire pit, probably the quintessential Catskills evening activity.
