Lead Baker at Jeffersonville Bake Shop

Jeffersonville Bake Shop in Jeffersonville, NY looking for a full-time lead baker with commercial baking experience to join our baking team. Some scheduling flexibility is possible, but candidates must be available to work weekdays and/ or weekends starting at 5:30am.

Our Bakers bake our pies, cakes, pastries, and cookies from scratch, and the right candidate will have extensive commercial experience and training. Home bakers will not be considered.

We are looking for a happy, friendly, hard-working, reliable team player, someone energized and passionate about commercial baking. The right candidate will be experienced, mature, skilled, attentive and motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Execute our baking program to delight our customers
• Provide guidance and oversight to teammates including more junior bakers and porters / cleaners
• Coordinate with the Bake Shop team and owners regarding special products for holidays and special occasions.
• Work with the Bake Shop manager to produce the right amount of products to meet demand and minimize waste
• Take and manage inventory of ingredients and finished products
• Other such duties and responsibilities as we request

Qualifications:

• Must have professional baking experience or schooling
• Ability to work with technology - Meez, google chat, google sheets, homebase
• Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
• Dedicated to working constructively as part of a team towards one goal: customer delight
