I broke the crank end collar off the rod while freeing up the piston that was stuck from 10 years of sitting. Got the piston to move after soaking for several weeks, but the rod (which looks new?) cracked when I attempted to rotate it back.... was probably a cheap aftermarket? .... or were the originals notoriously weak? Anyhow, it broke off clean.... no damage at all to the crank or crankcase, but it was just a rainy day project for me to get the ole engine goin again, so now that it has turned into more than a 1 rainy day project .... you get the benefit of picking up the whole thing for the price of the carb! .... Cosmetics fair, never in salt, no rust or corrosion, bearings fine, prop's decent, tank's good ...
transom clamp is perfect .... it's a 360 spinner for reverse or showing off while tying up at the yacht club bar!!
